Schedule: 15–25 hours a week (Hybrid)

Location: Hybrid (Remote + potential relocation to Las Vegas, NV upon full-time conversion)

Role Overview
We are seeking motivated and entrepreneurial M&A Interns to join Maldona Equity’s acquisitions team. This is a hands-on internship where you’ll help us identify, approach, and evaluate potential acquisition targets as part of our roll-up strategy.
You won’t just sit on the sidelines you’ll research and source companies, reach out to owners, and support the team through early-stage deal flow. For the right candidate, this role can be a launchpad into private equity and a pathway to a full-time role.
Responsibilities
Research, identify, and directly approach companies that fit Maldona Equity’s acquisition strategy.
Build and manage acquisition target lists and track outreach progress.
Conduct preliminary due diligence including financial analysis, market research, and competitor benchmarking.
Support negotiations, seller communications, and internal reporting.
Work closely with the acquisitions team to strengthen the deal pipeline and accelerate closing timelines.
KPI Expectations
3–6 signed LOIs per month generated from sourced outreach.
Requirements
Knowledge of finance is required.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field is required.
MBA, Master’s in Finance, or related advanced degree preferred.
Strong research and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and outreach ability.
Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, self-starter attitude.
Professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions.
Compensation
This is a commission-based paid internship:
1% of the total purchase price of any sourced deal that successfully closes.
50% paid upfront at closing
50% distributed in six (6) equal monthly installments following the closing date
Growth Potential
Outstanding interns may be offered a full-time Acquisitions Associate role upon completion.
Associates receive a 1.5% commission on the total purchase price of sourced deals that close (same payout structure as above).
Relocation costs to Las Vegas will be covered if promoted to a full-time Associate role.
Equity incentive: Interns who contribute to five (5) closed deals will be granted equity in the holding company (vesting & cliff terms apply).
