Location: Hybrid (Remote + potential relocation to Las Vegas, NV upon full-time conversion)

Role Overview

We are looking for our first Sales Manager to launch the Strategic Growth Division’s sales efforts. In this role, you will be responsible for selling our strategic growth partnerships to small business owners and leading the build-out of our initial sales team of Strategic Growth Executives. This is a contract role (20–30 hours/week) with the opportunity to transition into a full-time Sales Director role once you have closed 20–30 partnerships and successfully established the team. The Director role includes a competitive base salary, commission, quarterly bonuses, and equity in Maldona Equity. Relocation to Las Vegas is required to accept the full-time Director role.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full sales cycle: prospecting → discovery → solution design → commercial structuring (deposit, profit-share, milestone-based equity) → close.

  • Create the initial ICP and territory plan for SMB verticals best suited to our model.

  • Build the first Strategic Growth Executives team: sourcing, interviewing, onboarding, training, call coaching, dashboards, and quota design.

  • Stand up a repeatable outbound engine (scripts, cadences, talk tracks, objection handling, broker/partner channels).

  • Partner with leadership to refine offer packaging, pricing, and qualification criteria.

  • Implement pipeline management (CRM hygiene, forecast accuracy, stage definitions, win/loss).

  • Establish quality standards for discovery (financials, pain quantification, ROI narrative).

  • Report weekly on funnel metrics, cycle times, ACV, deposit rates, and cash collected.

  • Collaborate with Marketing on enablement assets (one-pagers, case studies, webinar demos).

  • Uphold our Lean Communication value, async first; meetings only when essential.

KPI Expectations

  • Generate 10-20 strategic growth partnership leads per week

  • 3–5 closed deals per week

Requirements

  • 5+ years in B2B sales, with leadership or team-building experience

  • Proven track record selling into SMBs or owner-led businesses

  • Strong ability to close new partnerships and mentor a small sales team

  • Startup or early-stage company experience preferred

  • Willingness to relocate to Las Vegas for the Director role

Compensation

This is a commission-based paid contract:

  • Sales Manager (Contract): 20–30 hrs/week, retainer + commission

  • Sales Director (Full-Time, Las Vegas): $110,000–$180,000 base + commission + quarterly bonuses

  • Equity: 0.5%–1.5% of Maldona Equity, granted upon promotion to Director, subject to standard cliff and vesting

Growth Potential

  • Opportunity for Director-level promotion.

  • Holding company equity grant upon promotion.

  • Relocation costs to Las Vegas will be covered if promoted to a full-time director role.
